SIGNAL CRAYFISH

Images of the 'Signal Crayfish' which was unfortunately introduced into the river and lake systems in the UK. This animal is now killing off our native species. It has one saving grace, it is edible, and if you get the free licence from DEFRA and permissions from water owners, you can trap them. They also carry 'crayfish plague' which is harmful to our native white clawed species.
