As we prepare for the demolition of the last 4 chimnies at Stewartby, we see the last remaining 4 chimnies from near Stewartby Station. A great many Italians worked at the Stewartby Brichworks, which gave them the right to stay in the UK. Many started work here having been prisoners of war at the end of WWII.
