The Shaggy Ink Cap Mushroom

Monday 21st September 2020, near Berkhamsted, UK. A Shaggy Ink Cap Mushroom (Coprinus comatus) stands alone on the grass verge with autumnal leaves on the ground. They are reputed to be edible and very tasty, but i would always seek advice before cooking and eating them or any other plant, better safe than sorry. They are also known as 'Lawyers Wig'.
